Nice! Everything feels polished, especially the graphics are excellent. Thanks for making another quality C64 release!

The only thing that puts me off is the walking speed of the character… So much of the game is just waiting to get from point A to B. I wish there was a turbo boost that would double the character speed :-)

Thanks for your feedback! I would have liked to increase the speed, but the scrolling code I wrote can only move at 1px per frame so it is limited by that.

Very nice sequel to the original with plenty of content, though the difficulty level is punishingly high—and unfortunately cannot be adjusted. Otherwise, however, it features beautiful graphics and great sound. Our German-language review can be found at 00:56:41. English subtitles are also available. Thank you for the excellent review! I did try to make it easier than infeZtation but still wanted it to be a challenge.

Great sequel! Another longplay video I just had to create.

Thank you!

Brilliant game

Thanks for the video!

Looks great. Dolphin dos 2 on c64 ultimate not booting the .crt file.

Yeah it’s not compatible with Dolphin DOS.

An excellent sequel to a great game. I added it to my video along with other games released in June.

Thank you!

Awesome game, I have added my review here :

Very impressed!

Thanks so much! Great video. :)

Is it expected that all the transition screens only have the very left part with full colours and most of the right part blue/black ?

Yes, the other areas reveal when you complete all the levels of the one before.

Love the first Infeztation and while it was no breeze to get through I enjoyed every minute playing it. This has the same overall vibe and I appreciate the different approach in terms of look and gameplay. Not better, just different - either way, again, I'm loving it so far.

My only personal issue is that sometimes I forget that the darker scenery blocks (the brown and blue ones) are the same as the green and brown ones and I find myself forgetting that they're solid too.

Great sequel and at the time of writing have finished the first world - now, on to the next!

Main sprite boundary issue

This glitch is pretty rare in my testing. Difficult to get perfect.

There are also a couple of things bug wise to say as well unfortunately but please dont shoot the messenger

There is sprite boundary issue where the main player sprite doesnt respect the boundary of the backgrounds

Also issue with the raster split where when any sprite is  at the bottom the raster split then it glitches, minor but happens.

Unfortunately doesnt work on mister fpga

That’s strange. What’s your set up?

One of my testers has figured this out. It is not compatible with DOLPHIN DOS on the MiSTer. To get it working, use "Standard C64" on the System ROM settings.

me too.  Dolphin dos on c64 Ultimate not booting the .crt file.

Really enjoying this amazing game!

It is an improvement on the first game where  enemies could spawn right on top of the player not leaving enough time to avoid them and the areas were divided into sections but because passwords were only given at end of each area it meant that in long sections if you died you would have to restart the whole area (which made it really annoying in cases where you'd be right at the end of an area).

But unfortunately, now there is another issue. The smaller viewing area means that there are times where I die because I couldn't see enemies or traps that are outside of the screen when I jump or fall down.

It's a pity there's only the digital version,I would love to buy a physical release of such a great game

very good

As a fan of Infeztation, i go for the sequel of course. Just bought it. Looks amazing. Congrats!

Thank you!

I loved the first one and have been eagerly waiting for the sequel ever since it was announced. What a lovely game—great work!

If a physical version were released, I’d be very interested! Unfortunately, there wasn't a physical version for the first INFEZTATION.

No plans yet but we’ll see what happens.

I came here immediately after watching the Bastich B video. Cool that you made different versions for PAL and NTSC. Are there any underlying differences beyond timing?

Yes, some slight adjustments to the colours for NTSC. In PAL the tiles can handle a different colour per char, but in NTSC it’s one colour per tile.

Just like Turrican! With the advent of the Kung Fu Flash 2 putting REU DMA emulation plausible, might there be a way to create an NTSC version that preserves the PAL color depth, leveraging the DMA the way Sam's Journey does?

Speedcode directly executed from cartridge might also do it too

I could be wrong but I think Turrican didn’t scroll any colour in NTSC, it used one BG colour on all the chars.

I am already executing speed code on the ROM for a lot of the scrolling. There are more skilled coders out there who could get it working faster than me, but I am happy with this result.

We’ve been waiting for this 😁 Of course, I bought the game πŸ’ͺπŸ˜‰

Would you be willing to release a physical version of the game? I’ve mentioned this to you before—K&A PLUS could handle the release πŸ˜‰
